I should add that in every case that i was mentioning, the problem was that a number of the small bolts holding the pieces together had sheared off. Eventually, enough sheared off that the wheel leaked air rather quickly. When others inspected their wheels, more sheared bolts were found. You can only see the sheared bolts from the inner side of the wheels.

hmm.. no sheared bolts on my rear wheels... the spokes cracked in my case.... on FM5 rims.. only the back rims.. front were fine... ...wheels in back weren't bent either... ..AND the cracks were from the inside out (not visible right away).. scary stuff...
