The tool kit pic you posted is missing the "official" pliers.
The Porsche 12 point fan belt tool (999.571.052.02) was NOT included in the tool kit.
Frequently missing after the 1st owner is the pair of vinyl gloves that came w/the car.
The "ground cloth" was actually intended to wrap a dirty, flat tire placed inside the car.
I bought an inexpensive, small scissor jack (Grizzly G8723 Scissor Jack) for under $10 to take on longer trips in case of emergency.

FYI, the Porsche tool kit that I bought at the dealer included the 12 point fan belt tool. I know because I have used it. The Tool kit had a sticker with a 993. part number. It looks very similar to the one Pedro has in the picture but it has additional tools and the bag is wider to accomodate these tools.
Maybe there are 2 versions of these toolkits? Just like the first aid kits I guess...

That looks more like mine. Notice also the long screwdriver bit to release the top cab motors. Also has the C shape wrench to losen the top side bolts.
Maybe coupe cars had a slightly different kit that didn't include certain "cab-only" tools?
Maybe that explains the difference...

Here is a pic of the compressor in the trunk of my 993. Normally I'd stick a folded towel in the spare then set the compressor on that so it wouldn't rattle or scratch the wheel. The tool kit and jack fit behind the panel in front of the spare.

The compressor feels a bit loose insede the spare...is the towel enough to avoid the rattle? Thanks for the tip...
