Andreas...I live close to this place and have had the family stay here when we get the wind storm and the power goes out, also has a great parking lot in which to meet up.

Baymont Inn (formerly Kirkland Inn)
12223 NE 116th Street
Kirkland, Wa.
425-822-2300

Ask for corporate rate ($79.00 for two queens, two people)

Nice place...not the grand palace but very nice.

Randy,
Thank you. Any good places within walking distance to grab dinner that night?

Right next door...shares the same parking lot, it's called the Brown Bag. Serves a good mix from great burgers and up to steaks. Great breakfast also! I don't know where 124th lane is but this is right on 116th and with a freeway exit. I bet your close to where you pick the car up.

Randy,
If I were to grab a room here, do you think it would be a central enough location for the others to meet later in the afternoon?

Yes...it is very convenient to the whole East side and just up from the 520 bridge for anyone coming from
Seattle proper. I looked on mapquest and I think you are within a mile of where you will pick up your car.

I have made a reservation at the:

Baymont Inn
12223 NE 116th Street
Kirkland, Wa. 98034

For those who wanted to meet and give us a proper Rennlist send-off, I should be back at the hotel by 4pm. Is there a time that will work well for everyone? Randy mentioned that the hotel parking lot should be fine for a mini gathering.

I'm looking forward to meet as many of you as I can.

BTW, what's the painters tape for? Surely you're not going to cover the front of the car with hideous blue tape then drive it cross country. If you're worried about rock chips etc, I'd suggest clear contact paper, available anywhere (Home Depot, etc.) so it doesn't look so ghetto. I put it on my fender lips for DE events.

Eric,
Worry not. The blue painter's tape will stay at home to be used for future jobs around the house. The car already has Clear Guard and I'm bringing a full bra just in case. The tape was to be used wherever the bra ended - to minimize rub marks.

I will meet you guys as well...4:00 sounds good. Are there any others? We should have a few good 993 examples to kick the tires on.

Lookin' forward to the meet-up,

Cheers
