Unhappy CDR-210 Fitting Help

I have just bought a CDR-210 CD/Radio to fit to my 1997 Carrera 4S.

The previous owner had fitted a Sony CD head unit and I’m not sure how to wire in the new unit.

The ISO plug that carries power, etc is fine and plugs straight into the CDR-210.

There is a stock amplifier under the front seat, which has an 8-pin DIN plug on which runs to the back of the dashboard where there is another 8-Pin DIN plug which then plugs into a little black box converting it to an ISO plug. When I plug this into the CDR-210 and switch it on the display lights up, etc but no sound comes out of the speakers at all.

Is there some special lead that should run from the amp to the head unit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

Sounds like he was getting the output out of his unit and feeding into the amp. cannot tell if he was using the standard speakers. I have 07'C4S and got it new with the optional hi-fi. Check out the output out of the Amp which should be feeding the speakers. The car is pre-wired so the standard plug (vertical looking) on the back of the 410 should do it, but the car was modded so you have to dig a bit or post some pics and we can help a bit more

Thanks for you help Becker.

Just managed to sort it. The previous owner replaced the complete lead from the amp to the Sony head unit. I found the original lead tucked behind and have just swapped them over.

Sounds great.
