Car looks great - mine's also black, and I've been considering bumper options when I finally repaint the front end... I was thinking about turbo bumper, but now I have a decision to make!

Now, just get that car out of the clouds and to proper (RS) height !!!

Funny you say that... I'm actually a little below ROW but certainly not at RS. Too many steep driveways around here... I need to be careful as it is.

I actually opted for the NB euro bumper so I could eventually do the RS splitters and tail... I love that look. Some day...

good point about the RS splitters, I think you've just made the decision for me... I figure in about 5 years, my car will be a GT-2 clone anyway, and the 993 GT2s had NB bumpers and front splitters

Jeff - if steep driveways are deterring you from the RS ride height then you won't want to add RS splitters. I removed the RS splitters from my MY94 cab and replaced with the standard NB splitters because I got too tired of all the driveway scrapping and having to repaint/repair them every year. Just my $0.02.

Good point, David... I did think about that. What is your ride height? That's one of the reasons I didn't want to slam mine. How much lower do the splitters take the front end?

It's not so much that the RS splitters make the front end lower that's the problem (although they do make it a bit lower), the main issue is that they extend the corners of the bumper forward and outward. I have a Euro TT bumper on my other car and from what I've seen on my cars and on other cars, the easiest to scrape are in the following order: (1) Turbo S; (2) RS splitters; (3) standard Turbo; (4) standard NB bumper.

You can probably drive up to a steep driveway and take some measurements as to just how much additional clearance you have.

BTW your car is looking good...

Jeff,

I have RS splitters on my RUF and Gert's FPB solved all my problems. A great insurance.

Here's two euro cars... top one's an RSR, bottom an RS. The front spoiler is the same on both sides (two pieces)... that's the "splitters". Love the RS look. Cheers!

Hey Dane... glad to hear the move's almost over. I'm heading out of town for the weekend but am generally around after that. Let me know when you're gonna be in the area and I'll roll out the red carpet!
