I'm back!! I was a Rennlister from several years back--sold my C4S!! Well, I purchased a black 97 C2S with 20k miles and of course had to rejoin Rennlist. It is great reading the threads.

I have two questions:
My car does not have the motion sensor/light located over the rear view mirror. Is this common or at some point could it have been removed?

When I set the alarm, the lights do not flash twice for on and once for off and I do no get the audible warning when the doors are open. The keys that came with the car have the factory looking fob not the switch blade. Is this something that can be corrected with programming the remote?

The motion sensor option is built into the overhead light unit. I doubt it was removed.

It's an option, and not a common one. You don't get the light without the sensor; they are both one option.
