Hmm, four years ago when I was shopping for a '98 C2S, I was informed by a fellow rennlister that the 97's had the non-split grill. I looked at one, and it indeed had the non-split grill.

From the brochure:
... for the C2S...
"...Its spoiler grating is split down the middle and painted the same colour as the car..."
so if it was a C2S it had the split grill...

The Carrera S script on the decklid doesn't even look right. The "S" is too close to the Carrera. Not to be picky, but I'm very **** when it comes to the little things like that.
