Default FYI - switchblade remote is "laundry-proof"

Came back from 3-day DE event at Mt. Tremblant and had a hectic day getting back to work, a PCA region board meeting, etc so when I got to laundry late that night...oops left the 993 switchblade remote key in the pocket of a pair of shorts...... yup, full wash and tumble dry cycle...... tried it this morning and works just fine !

(I will put a new battery in it and clean up a little corrosion on the battery terminals, but good to know that it survived....)

wow... Glad to see that Porsche keys hold up better than cell phones... and my cell phone only went about 1.5 minutes in the wash cycle... no dryer..

Mine quit after I ran it through the wash once. It expensive to replace and a hassel to reprogram the new one.
