Anyone else? Clive are you gonna stop by? Of those who are installing their lights this weekend. I will stop by radio shack or some other place to buy some of the ancilliary pieces we need for the install (female spade connector, electrical tape, etc.). Let me know if you all need the heavy duty velcro for the install or if you have or will pick up your own. I will bring my own, very limited set of tools as I suggest each brings the minimum so that if we want, we could all do together. CHUCK: do you have the 1" drill bit that is to be required for the install???

Any tips from those who have done the install of other items I (we) should pick up and be sure to have at the install?

Chuck, thanks again for volunteering your house. Look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday at around 11:00 a.m. Let me know again about the velcro.

Yep, stopping by... will bring diagrams and the other "special tool" in case it's needed.

Clive.

KY for lubing the rubber grommet in the trunk wall to get the wires through. WD40 works, but less fun.

Best to bring in advance as the sight of 10 grown men lined up at Chuck's local Rx all with a tube of KY in hand might rouse suspicion.

infini, that's pretty funny.

Say, what tools do we need. I will bring as many as I have but would like to know what is necessary.

I just got my hid kit today! I have a corded drill, 1" drill bit, a couple wire strippers, a crimping tool, a few extra spade connectors and a bunch of electrical tape I'll bring these for general use. I couldn't find my soldering iron but it doesn't sound like it will be needed. If there are any other tools or supplies needed let me know. I may stop by Automation in Van Nuys on the way to see if they have any Sylvania Silver Star high beam replacement bulbs to upgrade the high beams as well if any of you are interested leave a reply on this thread and I will see about picking them up.

A Dremel or small file to file the opening for the HID H1 bulb to fit into.

Good luck, guys.

If anyone wants to take some more pictures of the install, us out-of-staters would certainly appreciate it.

I will grab some spade connectors and Silverstars for my own install.

Anyone have a dremel tool to contribute, or a big file? Also, is everyone bringing their own heavy duty velcro?

Dave, if you see this before coming tomorrow forget about getting my the Silver Stars. I just remembered that I have a set of the Euro Dezign Xeon filled yada yada bulbs that I think will be okay. If not I can always pick em up myself.
Thanks anyway for the offer.
Cya tomorrow.

It seems that there is no clear cut choice for imporved performance high beams and quite a few who feel that HID lows are better than any halogen highs so unless I hear otherwise I guess we'll just stick to the HID lows. mnnmblu I did see your message above.
