if you do not want/need SUV, Audi A6 4.2 would be a good chice. it has 4wd (like u, i'm in WA and it's handy in rain and snow) and has nice power. i would have gotten a4/s4, if i did not need that space in the backseat.

Check out the new Explorer -- 295HP (that's close) with a 6 speed trans -- pretty good package. I drove one the other day and the ride and performance are very good. SUV's are the ticket in my view, particularly if you have to deal with rotten weather.

Years ago I had a 93 190 2.6--loved that car! Not too big, sporty but most of all, very Mercedes-like, 'proper' Merecedes like. Reliable and built much like our 993's. The 190 is a great car!!

What I meant is to use existing guard red 993C4S as the family car and
buy another 993TT or 993RS depending on his preference (turbo or Sexy Naturally Asp Engine).
However I dont think he can find any RS in seattle therefore IMHO he should get the TT.
