Hi- any procedures available on how to remove the existing Tiptronic shifter for replacement?

Tom, I have not done it but you unscrew the button and there is a nut that is revealed underneath. If I ever can find a root wood **** I would dig deeper.

95 Carrera is correct. However I don't recall having to remove a nut - check to make sure though... Unscrew / remove the shift button.
With firm upward pressure lift up on the shift ****. With light swearing and determination, the shift **** comes off.

95 Carrera - Heres a bit of shifter **** for you. It took a few months of searching to find this one.

IMHO, one of the best mods for a tiptronic equipped 993 is to delete the shift plate and substitute it with a boot.
