I was attempting to change my sparkplugs this weekend. As reported the driver's side is easy. Went to the passenger side, all was going well until I got to the muffler bracket.
I tried to get the hex head fatener off with an allen wrench, no joy. Put a hex head socket on the ratchet, no joy. Hit it with liquid wrench, let it sit overnight, no joy. Put a cheater bar on the ratchet, the socket snapped in two!
So I have 9/12ths of the spark plugs changed. The other three are going to a mechanic and HE can have fun witht he muffler bracket.
Dremel it off. Can't be hard to find another one for a tiny fraction of what the shop will charge you to do the rest of the plugs. You may try pounding a torx bit into it and then hitting it with air tools.
