Default Are all textars created equal?

I ordered a set of front brakes (Textars) for my C4S and realized, while the site I ordered claimed "Porsche OEM", they came in a non-Porsche part box. So, I was hoping someone might know from experience...

Do the non-Porsche boxed Textars provide the same (1) non-squeal (2) brake dust (3) performance characteristics as those which come in the Porsche parts box?

I can't remember if the Textars I ordered last year from Pelican were pacakged in a Porsche labeled box. I don't think they were. From where did you order them? I would venture to guess a Textar is a Textar.

Without Textar specifically saying that the pads sold as OEM are the same exact formulation as genuine OE pads you have to assume that they aren't. Aftermarket OEM is almost never the same as OE, there is always something missing or different.

No, if not in a Porsche box, they are not the same Textars. I've fallen into this trap. The experience I had was considerably more dust (hence, presumably softer pad material with shorter life) from the non-OE Textar box. Sorry for the bad news.
