Why do I keep doing this to myself? I'll keep you posted if anything changes.
What a nitwit I am.

Fred,
I'm not sure what IBS is, but I think I can use some.
Thanks everyone... now can we just let this embarassing thread die a natural death?

Steve, your agent just called me and said if you keep the RUF at my house, it will reduce your rate hansomely
Seriously now, good to hear you may have a way around this..

If that doesn't work out, I'll second (or is it third) the recommendation for Hagerty or one of the other collector car insurance companies. There are more limitations on what you can do, storage, etc., but on my '84 911 (I know there's no comparison car wise), adding it to my ALLSTATE policy was going to be $100 a month. With Hagerty and $15k stated value, it's less than $300 a year.
Again... no comparison on cars really, but the price difference is pretty amazing.

Wow Steve -- you had me worried there for a moment. Glad to hear it will work out for you to keep it. Hope to get a peak at her one day at some get together in So Cal.

Pong,
Yes, I had to apologize to him for getting him all excited. He advised me to take a breath... very good advice... as you all can tell, I tend to panic just a teensy little bit. Thanks evryone for your help and support. I'm pretty embarrassed by this thread... please... let it die, circle the commode, andlet it get flushed.

At the chance of assuming too much...someone mentioned your kid's issue. You may already know this, but you can insure a car and state who is allowed to drive it. For example, I had put M5 in wife's name and only she and I were insured to drive it...nobody else in household.

CP, you are right to a degree! Though I did think it best for OFE check into other insurance before AND take a deep breath before he dumped the car. There is no reason why that car should be so much more than his current tt. Some, sure, but not to huge degree.
Unfortunately for me, I was right! Drats.
Seriously, though, he promised me a really good drive for that, and I am holding him to it!
