Talking 2005 Porsche Parade Concours !!! (Pics-BIG-56k warning)

I just got back to Dallas after attending the Porsche Parade Concours on Sunday. It was just unbelievably mind blowing. Significant displays included the Historic Porsche cars of which you have seen just a portion posted above. It was definitely the highlight. One of the cars belonging to Stuart Zeh was a just-completed restoration of the 356 Cabriolet prototype. It was very cool. In addtion, past Manhattan Trophy and Parade Concours winners, an Original Owners section of 21 cars whose owners bought them new and have owned them for over 20 years. And then the various Touring, Preservation, and Restoration Concours sections. On top of all that there was the Porsche Corral where you could park your Porsche. They were arranged by model and there must have been 500 or so. In all there had to be 750 cars or more. Almost every Porsche you could imagine. Just amazing!!

The Porsche family was there to unvail the special edition (50-cars only) 997 Club Sport to dedicate 50-years of the Porsche Club of America. It's a specially optioned 997S with a little more power to boot with a sticker of $99,911.

I joined a friend who trailered his car for the Original Owners section. The venue -- the Golf Course at the Hershey Hotel -- was spectacular, the weather was hot but perfect. It was the Porsche Concours event of a lifetime. I have over 400 photos and will try and post some later. Definitely my most memorable Porsche experience.

At last years Parade in Ft. Worth there were zero Cayennes entered in the Concours. Any this year?

I'm swamped with my return to work and have to reduce the size of my pics to upload, but to give a sense of the enormity of this event, here is one pic of part of the Porsche Corral. See anything you like?

That's a cool pic. Now somebody give me some info on the yellow 911 in the middle of the pic with the royal blue wheels! That car is beautiful. Is the owner a Rennlister?

The yellow car was cool and sounded great. Don't know if a Rennlister. Here it is in front of its trailer.

Another at the event...Enjoy!

Hey that car has VA tags! Gotta find out more since I think it might be local to me and go see it for myself in person.

Thanks for the extra pics!
