Default GT3?

Are you waiting for GT3 prices to drop? If so, at what price are you gonna make the trade?

I was on the fence with a GT3 and a 4S last week. The GT3 is an awesome car! The dealer had one that was near new with 1,200 miles on it. I drove it for an afternoon and it didn't feel right for me. The price diffrence was not an issue, my heart went with the 993.

When the price drops I may want one for track days; But trade the 993 for a GT3, never.

I thought about buying one last year but, I just can't get past their looks. I'm holding out for the 997. When I can get one with only a few miles and one where someone else took the initial depreciation, I will probably pull the trigger. They are great cars. Best if used mostly on the track.

I love driving the GT3 - I would drive it every day if I had one. It would probably never see any track time.

I'm with Randy. When the 997 GT3 comes out, and depreciates, I would look at it as a possible replacement for my 98 Cabriolet. (Replacement only because the wife would kill me if I bought yet another car )
The price would have to be in the $50k range for me to make the trade.

I have indeed spent some time thinking about a GT3 since running with one at the last DE. Being able to drive one could answer questions. Is it the car for me...I don't know yet but its being considered. I do like the fact that it is exclusive in production numbers. The market will play itself out and it may be a great bargin as far as water coolers. IMO its the best of the 996 breed.

As much as I love my C4S, the 2004/05 GT3 is the only car I'd switch it for. I love the pure performance factor that a GT3 has to offer. Ideally, I'd love to have both cars!

Noel also has a 993 C4S. I would not trade my 993TT for a 996 GT3. However, as others have said, I certainly would consider adding the GT3. In the end, I will probably wait on the 997 GT3.

Life is good when there is no such thing as a "wrong" choice.

Interesting Q? Over here we got the 2000/01 GT3 and they are now CHEAPER than an average TT - like sub $150K. The 04's are also on their way down too and recently a buddy of mine bought a 993 RSCS and after a few weeks decided to trade the GT3!!!! He also said he wishes he never sold his first RSCS but hindsight is 20/20 - always!!!

I love the TT and also use the RS for track days and tarmac rallies...... The RS is a different beast altogehter tho.....

The answer for me = no - but thats just my opinion..... FWIW (not much really)

I'm waiting for the 997 GT3 and their prices to (hopefully) drop enough!

i am not sure what the purpose of this poll is...it seems like it is a silly attempt at boosting your ego (don't you wish you could have a toy as cool as mine, or something like that...)

oh, and in answer to your question: Carrera GT...are you waiting for the CGT prices to drop? if so, at what price are you gonna make the trade?

And I thought you were asking a legitimate question, but I see you're just a dick.

Sorry but my track car might be an Elise and I'm (desperately) trying to save up for an F355 as a weekend fun car (while keeping the 993 if possible). The F-car is contingent on their making amends for last weekend (yes, I'm in the pro-Michelin, anti-Max Mosley, anti-Ferrari camp).
