Default Need to touch up a Big Red

I think the shop that did my body work scraped up my left fron caliper. It looks like they put some wheel on there with the wrong offset for rolling it around the shop and there's this big white arch-like scrape across it. I don't want to take it to the shop just for this. So I was thinking of just painting the front flat part of the caliper and then using one of those white stencils for the PORSCHE lettering. Does this sound like a good plan? Also, what paint shoudl I buy? Thanks.

I personally would have this body shop look at it. Also would give them a chance to fixt it properly.

Yes, I know they would fix it for me, but it's pretty far from my house and the logistics of getting it there and back home are a nightmare. Pretty sure I can knock this out at home in under an hour not counting drying time. Going the shop route would require a day off from work.

Rick
I see your logic now. I know exactly how you feel..

Local auto parts stores have a multitude of touch-up paints, in small bottles. Look for the red-orange color that resembles and give it a whirl..

Yes, but is there a specific color code for this red? Does the dealer carry tiny touch-up bottles of it?

Not sure to be honest. Might call the dealer and ask. I would be curious to know as well..

Rick, FWIW, I have Big Red fronts and RS rears and from the factory the paints don't match, call Brembo and get their most recent red paint. No paint code, I would guess Brembo does it all.

Cheers,
Andy
