Thanks for the pics guys, it looks like I'll see the car in the next day or two.
I might bring the digital with me so I can have some pics of the car. I'm also looking at a black /black and a black / tan both 95's this weekend if possible.
Thanks again, Rick
Lagavulin-OK I'll bite, it's a great and very easy quote-The secretary talking to the principal in Ferris Bueler's Day Off!
RE-Aventurine green, see my avatar, it really does change color in different light and I get all kinds of compliments on it! It's a beautiful, unique color imo (of course I'm completely biased)
Thanks guys. I love my car but especially like the
"odd" aventurine color. Guess we are biased. Thise wheels are 18" Moda R6 with plastic colored porsche center wheel caps. You will need to gring the caps down to fit and use a mild adhesive/epoxy to glue them in. Do not use anything too strong or when you have a puncture or need to change tires "you will be in a bind!" Thanks for the complements though. KB

Looked at a internet pic of a Aventine (sp?) Green car. Talked to the owner but he coudn't confim the color. Could one of you guys with a dark green 95 993 post a good resolution pic so I can really see the color.
I know shades and sun make a difference, I just want to see if it's something I can live with before I make time to go see.
Yes I tried the search
Thanks Again!
WOW does almost everyone on this site put turbo twists on their 993's ?
How much are they for a set?
Looks like I'm going to see the Aventurine Green car Sunday, looking at a black/black coupe that's pristine with pss9's and bilstiens, no issue's tommorrow.
just refreshing a preistoric post on greens.
I just purchased this, a 1997 C2, my second 993 (I’ve got the red cab too).
car is great. Paint overall ok but it’s been polished many times and, after measuring it, in some areas is pretty thin. In one small area on hood (1square inch) is burnt probably while cutting/polishing paint.
it’s all good but I’m the future I might be planning a full repaint and the dark green is definitely my favorite and is also extremely rare.
1 question:
considering that my plan is not to sell this car, never, how much would the value change in case if repaint.
Not only the value in $$ but also the perception, in front of a purist that a color change can have.
I want to specify that the repaint will be done by top body shop specialized in vintage supercars and would keep proper documentation of everything.
2) would a OEM 1997 color be better than a OEM 2020 green that currently you can do on a gt3? Or if it’s a personalized color?
I’d do this for myself on for my tastes but wanted a broader opinion.
This is a photo from Saturday pretty full sun. I think it looks like the color. Aventurine is odd it looks like so many different colors or shades as the sun or clouds change.
