Default c4 cab or c2 cab

I'm in the market to replace the 993 cab I had a year ago. I NEVER should have let that car go...

I'm interested in everyone's thoughts on a C4 or a C2. Obviously it's getting harder to find clean low mile 993's in general but when I start limiting it to c4's it gets even harder.

Is it worth looking longer and harder to get a c4? Also should I try to go 96 or newer or am I am safe with a 95? There seems to be a big price difference from 95 to 96.

Also if anyone a lead on a light colored (no black or dark blue) 993 cab let me know.

Thanks in advance!!
Trey

Since you live in Chicago, if you are planning any kind of bad weather driving I would hold out for a C4...I don't think there is any material price difference between 2WD and 4WD cabs.

Good luck on your search.

I concur. If you plan to drive deep into the Fall and perhaps Winter, a C4 with winter tires is the only way to go. I've driven in Mpls., MN much of my life, and I would choose an all wheel drive given its advantages.

Good luck.

I concur, sort of. But if you plan on driving in weather so bad that the AWD will be useful, what's the point of even having a cab. After living in Chicago and owning a '96 C4 cab, that's my $0.000002

But yes, if you plan on driving the 993 in the snow (which I personally think should be a crime punishable by flogging) then you want a C4. I personally don't see much use for the 110 lbs, so I now drive a C2.

IMHO get a C2 and a POS beater for bad winter driving....
Best of luck in your decision and search!!
