Eric 'the BumperPlug Guy' Sklut has sourced a true '993' logo for our cars.
I personally have been looking for one for a few months and thought I was going to have to create one on my own but he came through when I told him what I wanted.
You can see the logo here: 993 Logo
You can contact Eric at eric@bumperplugs.com if you are interested.

Rear decklid.
I replaced the original matte black 'Carrera' with a chrome '911' logo from the Millenium Edition 996 (see pic Chrome 911) ... but that will be coming off tomorrow.

Harvey, did you have any trouble with marks or fading from the Carrera emblem?

I didn't have any fading but then again I changed mine in 2001 when I bought it. I would think that darker cars would be more susceptible to fading though.
Also if you decide to remove your logo remember to use dental floss and take your time 'sawing' the old emblem off.

Good tip. What did you use to clean the adhesive? Is there a DIY written up on this? The top of the "C" in my Carrera emblem is broken off, so I'm looking at replacing it with another or with the "911" or "993" emblems.

Goo-Gone worked for me ... it will take off wax BUT you want the wax off of the area anyway so the emblem will stick better.
I do not know if there is a DIY on this ...

3M adhesive remover works pretty good, as well. Still requires a lot of elbow grease, or should I say thumb grease.
