RS Man, does your car have standard exhaust tips on ? mines got some early Techart ones on which seem to make it noisier and more resonant.
Many thanks Bradford, love your wheels.........and easier to keep clean compared with mine

Atgani,

Mine are Gemballa tips but I think the mufflers are standard.

I think the std tips or the Porsche big ovals( not cheap) may quieten it down a bit. How often do you go out at 5.30 ? or do your neighbours have an issue with you and your car?

I don't think neighbours have any issues with me.
As to how often, the plan was to get up and drive at that sort of time on a bright morning so that I can actually enjoy the car for what it is and not get stuck behind a traffic jam and all the other careless drivers that abound on our roads. One thing that comes to mind is trackdays which unfortunately seem to be held on weekdays whcih is not really a good time for me.

Right, I have to move to North Wales! Colin Belton would be closer as well!

Is that for the speed cameras? I saw a story about that on the Discovery Channel(?). It was on the Autobahn, however.

Arrwin, as you can see this road is in the middle of nowhere, there are no schools or houses close by, it is not heavily trafficed. The powers that be over here, keep telling us these cameras are being used in areas that have a proven record of there having been safety issues. The vast proportion of the British public see them as a way of raising finance via what we see as a stealth tax. This using of speed cameras in this location would tend to support this theory

I can see why there may be issues on those roads - crazy people like me may drive too fast and exit the bends!!! It is too tempting to open the car up without the skills for controlling powerful machines like the 911. You should be OK Atgani but I'm afraid I'm not as skilled as you

Atgani - those are what GPS locators are for - actually makes driving more interesting than it would be without one. I've had my Geodesy for over 4 years now - never misses a scamera.

Surj

btw: how are your spot lights wired - to the fog light switch, or as the driving light position on your headlight switch? thx

Surj, when I said they'd claimed one scalp already, I meant in a car/ scenery interface situation. aka :- a high speed uncontrolled offroad parking attempt !!! My license is already in tatters, hence I tend to keep off the other well known A roads in this area. However Road Angel or Geodesy beckons I fear.
The Turbo S ducts/spots are actually sidelights not spots or fogs so are connected up to the original sidelight wiring IIRC

Beautiful area you live in and great roads too.
I lived in North Wales for two years about 10 years ago.
Really loved the roads around Snowdonia. Lovely scenery too, especially around Betws-y-Coed. (Still love the area although there`s one corner near Capel Curig I don´t remember fondly...spun my Corrado VR6 through a hedge )
EVO magazine road tests nowadays around that area regularly, right?

Mika
