Dumb question...engine bay fan?
I'm the proud new owner of a 97 993 coupe. I've had it for a few days now and I love it. My first dumb question is about the fan that sometimes turns on when the car is off. I parked it in the garage after a ride tonight and as I was walking away the fan started. Is this a cooling fan that's controlled by the temp?

It means it is working right, if you decide to remove the fan to lose weight then it will also lose the additional cooling. It guess depends where you live.
