Thanks for the confirm Jason.
I always had heard how rare the C2S was in comparison with the C4S. Total difference is 327 less, much much less dif than I had been led to believe. Turns out it's the C4, C4 cab, Targa, and the Turbo S that are the rare ones.
I've always been interested in how many in each color? I know it's a silly question but I've never heard an answer. If anyone out there knows where I can find that info....

When you find info regarding "1998" C2S and C4S numbers, be careful how the source words it. Many people are surprised that there are 1998 model years since some of the listings I have seen only list them in 1997....i.e. were they actually built/imported in calendar 1997 as 1998 model year cars.

What always amazes me is how, despite the low production numbers, you see these cars around. For example, I have one of the 1112 Targas. I see no fewer than 5 Targas in my part of Scottsdale, and I see more all the time.
Additionally, you can find 5-10 for sale at any given time. Considering how big this country is, it always surprises me how many you see in one city.

There are prod numbers on the Porsche Website but it's not entirely clear as to whether these numbers are specific to just the UK/European market. It's also not clear whether those numbers include the later nb Varioram C4 produced from '96-'98 (Euro market only).
Certainly the numbers suggest that the C4 was, indeed, the more rare variant compared to the widebodies...
