Feedback on PowerTech
Well I have been going to Jack Daniels Porsche (Paramus NJ) the last three years and have been getting my yearly maintenance their and have been very happy with their work (usually just oild changes). This year I figured I get the 15k service (my car just turned 11k), so I got a quote from Jack Daniels and PowerTech; PowerTech was about 20% cheaper. So I did some research on PowerTech and found that they were pretty reputable. So last Thursday I drive out to Roackaway, NJ (35 miles away) and drop off my car to get the 15k service done. I get a call Friday and they told me that they checked out my car and everything looks good and that all I needed was my brake fluid changed along with the 15k. Well after the work was done I go and pick-up my car and am very happy with the work they did. Everythig was explained to me during while they checked out my car, they told me the things I needed (brake fluid, wipers and hood struts): I opted to let them do the brake fluid only. At the end I was very happy with PowerTech and their people.
OT: Saw a beautiful yellow GT3, a white 930 and several 911s.

Burning Brakes
i don't know where your located, but i just had an oil change and rotor replacement done at autosport performance in englewood and it was a pain free experience. i would go back there again no question.
as a side note, when i was there they had a brand new Shelby "Eleanor" GT 500 Replica sitting there that they were working on for Jason Kidd.
apparently they were correcting a bunch of issues inherent to the cars design like fuel and electric lines that were in danger of catching fire and a suspension so tight that the back end would bounce over bumps.
i have had work done at powertech and they are excellent, just hard for me to get to.

I just had them install my bilsteins recently and they did a good job. Undercut the price on another shop handily. They also did the install in just two days since I was off to lime rock and my car had failed tech just days before with a bad rear shock. I do wish they were closer...

I have to get an oil change, a/c looked at (compressor is making at loud whirring noise) and front rotors looked at (steering wheel vibration at medium speed/pedal pressure). The question is do i go to Bodymotion in Ocean Nj which is close (less than 15 min) or make a huge trek up to Powertech? I am also concerned with who would take the best care of my garage queen. Any advise would be helpful

Just curious what you guys in NJ pay for an oil change. Mine cost about $190 (labor, 2 filters, and Mobil 1). Had it done at an independent shop in Mission Viejo, CA.
