Default Factory Xenon lights swap...

Can the factory Xenon lights be swaps with out any hardware change? Is it really just plug and go? TIA, David

thats what my technician said when i was thinking about this modification.... still would love to do it...they just seem so expensive right now...cant find a set for less than $2k...

This option was only about $1500 if ordered new on the car. I didn't.

For that money and just the same effect, you could get a $250 easy DIY kit plus a whole new suspension. OTOH, if the money is burning a hole in your pocket and you must stay "stock", we understand but we can't help you.

FWIW, I made a set out of "factory" parts for about $600. The ballasts are indentical to those used in many 90's MBs. You can also reuse your headlight housings (I didn't have to). You just need the internal projector and bulbs. They bolt into the non-xenon light housings.
