Do you have a front License Plate?

Took it off the 993 when I bought it. Ordered bumperplugs and now it looks right. Haven't had front plates since I've been driving and only got stopped once for it and got off with a warning only. Its worth the risk to have no front plate.

The prior owner had already taken it off, and I plan to keep it off. I've only had the 993 for 2 months now, but recently received black bumperplugs and now it looks better. Didn't have them on my 911SC either -- and never got stopped for this (but don't ask about speeding trickets ). To me its also worth the risk to have no front plate. Thinking about it more though, I think I'll at least keep it in the car from now on.

A front license plate is required in NYS - but my 993 does not have one. When I bought the TT bumper last year from Gert I had the paint shop fill in the license plate holes - that's my level of commitment !!
If stopped by a trooper or sheriff, I'll say, "Front plate? We don't need no stinkin front plate..."

I have never had one on the PCar since I've owned it. I got pulled over once in VA because of it and the cop was hastling me about it so I reached under the passenger floor mat and showed him that I do have it.
First the cop said he was going to ticket me. I told him that the mounting bracket is on back order at the dealer and that I do have the other plate. I then asked if he would like to see it and he replied 'No' and told me they are required because without one the cops may believe the car is stolen. I showed it to him anyway and he didn't write me a ticket.
I think he was just out hassling nice sports cars because he had just been hassling an M3 when I passed him and he left that car to hassle me.
I've never been ticketed for it or hassled since. I think the risk of a fix-it ticket is worth it for not de-facing the front end.

Martin,
Hi !! Yes, just drop my name - it will work as long as you are in Cayuga County....
You know, I emailed you last weekend about the CCU and the email kept bouncing back. I kept meaning to PM you this week through the Forum. Sorry about that. I was going to tell you that I understand the logic of the HVAC system enough to be dangerous, but that you should probably take your baby to the dealer and have the codes looked at. Of course, you're probably got the problem solved by now.
Take care of that sweet SY ride.

I have one, and I'll most likely keep it that way until they change the law in NJ...(Wishful thinking, and highly doubtful. We're not even legally allowed to pump gas here.)
On two past cars I tried running without the front plate, and eventually got tickets in both. I don't need extra reasons to be pulled over.
I am going to get one of those lowering brackets for it though..looks much better.

Took mine off as soon as the bumper plugs arrived. (About 2 weeks after I bought the car.) Didn't run one on my 2 previous Porsches or my wifes z-28. Enforcement may get stricter with all of the red light cameras sprouting at intersections. I'll take my chances!

Front plate for 1 hour a year
The drive to the inspection station is the only time in 4 years that
that I run a front plate in MA.
Been stopped a couple of times and no mention by the LAOTL
