I have the same big ovals that you do and I have the motor sound package. If these are X54 option tips, are they or are they not related to the "motor sound package" I thought that they were. Perhaps now I'm to understand that they are a seperate option??

I also have both the Motorsound package (159) and the chrome tips (X54) and according to the option sticker on my car, it was a separate option. I believe the ones that Viken posted were the regular tips included in the Motorsound package. Thanks.

I too have the optional OEM (X54) Motor Sound Chrome Tips. The standard Motorsound tips are those shown by Viken.My Stock (rectangular) SS OEM 993 C2 Tips are Available if interested.

My C4S was optioned with motorsound and came with the same shiny tips Viken showed. I added big ovals. If you have big ovals on your car, I bet they either appear on your options tag as a separate item or were added by a previous owner or dealer.

I've attached a couple of pictures of my stock C2 Cab Motorsound tips. They are most definitely stainless, as when polishing the rag turns black. Chrome doesn't do that.

I'm confused. What is the difference between non motor sound tips and motor sound tips, just the finish and not the shape? I believe the big ovals are a seperate option not related to the motor sound option.

Joe S. You are correct, motorsound tips are just shiny, not different shape. Big ovals are not related to motor sound, and are expensive but beautiful and fit the 993 exhaust cutouts perfectly.
