We live in a nice place in the burbs of Chicago, and my wife's been asking about house swaps. It would be extra fun to swap with someone else who has a Porsche, but it isn't necessary. Anyone here - with super luxury places - ever do a house swap? It's probably more hassle than it's worth. If you have a great place and are interested in swapping, perhaps list a description, the location and desired location in this thread.

I'll bite. Beautiful mansion just outside Boston, walking distance to train (16 mins to Boston). Wife not included, but we can talk about my 95 C4 cab. House is >6000SF has 6 huge bedrooms, 7 baths, large backyard with deck and hot tub. I'd trade for a nice beach house somewhere for a week or less.

Ha ... I did that last year, traded my place in Boston for a place in Napa (no cars involved). Worked out quite nicely.

I have a beautiful 1850 sq. ft. townhouse in historic Salem MA if anyone's interested, two blocks from the water, lots of restaurants within walking distance ... hey, come for Halloween!

We used www.homelink.org and had great results, it's worldwide. One guy wanted to swap his condo in Amsterdam (woo-hoo!) but when we couldn't get the dates to work, he offered to just let us stay there anyway.

MonkeyBoy, I wonder if we can arrange some type of three-way... houses not wives. I have a friend in Manhattan and I'd love to stay in his townhouse but he's not interested in Chicago. He's a huge Yankees fan and would probably love to go up to Boston for an extended weekend with some other couples to catch some Yankees/Sox games and it sounds like your place has plenty of space. He's got a killer spread in the Hamptons... and a great kicker - he has an 86 cab there.... I'll put him in touch with you.
