Default Any Tip owners do the RS Motor mount upgrade + notice a difference?

...not that I am in any position to buy any mods for my car but I am curious to know if anyone here with a TIP did the RS Motor mount upgrade and if they noticed any difference..

I know it is a noticable difference with the 6 speed tranny but I have my doubts about any advantages with the tip...

do tell tip owners!!!!

I did the RS motor mounts shortly after buying my Tip and did notice a considerable difference. But, and it is a big but, the inspection report told me that the standard mounts were shot. So not a valid comparison.

All the best,

I just wonder why it will be different between Tip and 6s?

I thought RS mounts will impact both of them.

it affects the shifting feel on the 6 speed (as you actually physically shift yourself).... not sure that it would be any sort of noticable difference with the tip since the whole concept is different..

Don't mean to hi jack the thread but if anyone replaced the engine mounts with new stock (not RS) for the standard 6 speed please post. My 95 seems to engage very slow when taking off, especially going up the hill. I don't think it's the clutch.

thanks

I did not notice any change in relation to the tip transmission. The car was too new to me then to notice this, if in deed there was such a change. I noticed a change on cornering. The handling of my car felt much tighter. I presume that this is the resault of there being less movement of the engine under cornering loads.

Chris,
It does seem to me that both tip and 6 speed would be affected when accelerating. I not only notice a difference in shifting but also feel a more crisp acceleration since changing over to the RS mounts. I can't imagine why a tip wouldn't also be positively affected by the stiffer mounts.

according to the slippery slope scale - 0 miles needed! In all seriousness, this is the type of mod that you will notice whether your mounts are shot or not. It is also relatively inexpensive as far as mods go (kind of like the RS short shift kit).
