I recently bought a set of what was supposed to be stock 993 springs from rpm sports cars but I am running into some trouble
during installation of the rears. I started to check part numbers and here is what I found:
Front springs
part # 964 411, 2 green dots (964 springs of some type, I assume)
Rear springs
part # 993 318 4694, 2 yellow dots
Please help me identify what I actually have. I have searched the archives for information on these rear springs but have found nothing with this part #
The rear springs are my main concern right now since the rear struts are out of the car. With these rear springs installed on the strut the lower shock mount is not lining up with its suspension mounting point. The shock body appears to be rotated about 30 degrees from lining up with the suspension. Since the spring is what locates the shock body and the upper strut bearing I think I may have the wrong springs here. My 993 is '95 C4 with Boge shocks and these springs were supposed to have come from a '95 993 coupe.
Thanks
Scott

Just for clarity's sake I thought I better state specifically that the part numbers I listed (993 318 4694 and 964 411) are part numbers that are stamped on the springs not numbers I found on the forums somewhere.
Thanks

Just removed mine from a stock 97 C2S. USA (non M030 option)
Part number for the rear spring is: 993 318 96 35 has yellow dots
I didn't disassemble the front struts so can't see the part number on them.
Mine are in great shape if you turn out to need some and what you have are wrong.
