Default Minor cabriolet repairs

I just noticed a small tear in the cloth of my top. Is there a way to stop it from getting bigger over time. I once heard that clear finger nail polish could be put on it but I would think that would look pretty bad.

You can have a patch put on the underside and/or have the cut stitched up...I've seen the stitch on a black top and from 4-5 feet away you won't notice it. You can also have the elastic that is supposed to pull the canvas away from the pins replaced. I assume your cab is a 1995?

The top on the US MY95 and the Euro MY94 have a design flaw that causes the pins to pinch the canvas and create tears....only real solution is to have the top replaced. I've heard of a few very rare instances when the problem first arose a few years back in which PCNA fiixed it as a goodwill gesture, but very doubtful nowadays.
