Do you know how much Robin buys them for? I just got ahold of a set of RSRs so I may sell the stock mufflers and current Supercups to clear out some garage space. TIA

How come he is out of cores? I thought he sells them on an exchange basis. Are people not sending in their cores after they get the RSRs?

Some people send back the cores, some people keep them to exchange when they sell the car.

Also some of the cores get ruined in the process. Nobody is 100% at re-welding these things.

I got my RSRs from another Rennlister, so I had my cores sitting in the garage.

I have a set of Robin's RSR's sitting in the garage if anyone doesn't want to wait 6-8 weeks.
I re-installed my stock Motorsound cans along with Fabspeed cat bypass tubes last season,...... the RSR's have been collecting dust ever since.

Greg, in addition to Daniel's points I would suggest that most significant cause for the delay is due to the time lag between when people receive their RSRs and when they ship their cores back. It's unfortunate that Robin's business slows down as a result and future customers are frustrated. I wonder how much business Robin looses because customers look for an alternative versus waiting.

got mine on the 3 rd and retured cores on the 17 th so a pair are back in the mix . love the sound . being a cab i appreciate the fact they are not over bearing and would recomend to others the RSR over stock! very pleased thus far... also had to get an emmission test after being installed and it passed without any problem whatsoever if that was a concern to anyone out there.

BTW, the sound improves with age. I have had mine for about 2 years, and they keep getting incrementally louder.

I purchased my RSR's from Gert at www.carnewal.com. Maybe you can circumvent the backlog by taking a different route.. There was no delay when I got mine but it may have changed, give him a call.
