I see OB-I readers sometimes (car parts stores)- Will these work with the 95's which had the OB-I system?? any one model stand out as a decent value? they seem to be about $150-250

Coleman:
I'm sorry to tell you that Porsche used a totally proprietary vehicle code system on the OBD-I 95's. This was before the Federally mandated OBD-II standards were used.
The only tool that reads a '95 (and earlier) is the Bosch Hammer (or current PST-2 with the right cable) and special Porsche software. The Hammer is now long out of production and NLA.

Coleman,
You may want to take a look at this thread to read the code and see if it works on your car. No need to even buy a reader if it does.
Good luck
