jkuniverse - thanks, but mine was 5128, so not the same. I still miss her and wonder how she's doing from time to time!

Yep, it is a Targa. All that black may have thrown your eye.

Good luck.

Michael, Thanks for the compliment! Yes, they're the Turbo twists...I think they match very well to the curves of 993.
Jim, you made the right move though...going from 993 to 997. I would probably do the same in the future...but maybe keep the Targa if I can.

Michael,
I am also in OC. If you want to try out my targa, let me know. I personally don't care for the original targa wheels but it's just preference.

Pjconner,
not to hijack the thread but the car isslowly being put back together.
The targa roof is now off, and the engine is off. We are waiting on a couple of parts to come back from germany.
There is no FRAME damage at ALL. Only a buch of body parts.
I am also taking advantage of this for a few ugrades: quite a few

Installing JIC Cross Racing Suspension.
RS engine mounts
RS Transmission mounts.
RS shifter.
RS shfter Rod.
RS LWF.
New Disrtibutor caps and rotors.
New spark plugs wires.
Wheels will get painted gunpowder metal.
All new seals for the Targa top when it is put back on the car.
My 2 Sparco EVO2 racing seats are geting their back painted to match the body.

Depending on what is left in the budget, I migt ger the Turbo S air scoops, and possibly the RS splitters to replace my Aerokit splitters.

I will be posting a new thread wih the progress and some pics when I have a chance.
It is just so painful waiting for so long and watching all this DEs and TT happen.

Personally love the targa wheels, so swapped them for the cups that were on the car. It gives it a slightly more modern look but still retains originality
