Aloha (911 and mac993) Sorry I didn't get to reply sooner. I'm travelling in Houston Tx for the week.
Rich-I actually flew down to San Diego to pick up my car.
mac993- My B-Day is in June. The 993 was kind of a B-Day present to myself.

Well....
It's been almost 7 years...now have about 72,000 miles on the car, a 97 Carrera. The only problems:
1. SAI valve rotted out and was replaced,
2. Dual Mass flywheel got clunky and needed to be replaced (with a 993RS clutch and LWF, of course)
3. Air conditioning hose (Cracked in the process of replacing the SAI valve)
The car got its first taste of the track in September 2000. We have been visiting the track 6 to 10 times a year ever since. The only other things I have replaced, I have broken such as drop links, left rear lower control arm with a drop link rotation and subsequent crunch..also buggered up the kinematic toe arm in the process...replaced left and right with ERP.

I bought my first 993 new in January 1995. It was a red/cashmere C2. I traded it in with 25,000 miles along with an '89 silver anniversary cab for my current car in May of 1996. That makes 11 years 5 months for my current car, and 13 years and 10 months of continuous 993 ownership.
