Can someone please tell me where I get the key code? I have a key that works and just bought a new remote..... Is the code in any factory car paperwork or manual?
Thanks in advance,
Michael

The code is in the manual, it is on a credit card sized item. If it didn't come with the car, you can go to your dealer and ask them for it. You may need to bring the title, they should look it up for free.

I have the same exact problem described in the post. Light never goes into flash or program mode. It goes off and then comes back on and remains on. One dealer and one independant "suggested" a new immobilizer which is funny since it was just replaced last July (still under warranty). I am not 100% convinced. Any ideas on what to test, look for or check into? How is this system diagnosed?

Guy,
I had the same problem but got my new remote to program this morning. I used the same instructions that are in this thread but when turning the ignition to the "off" position, I only turned the key far enough left to get the alarm warning to go off. I never turned the ignition key all the way to the left. The procedure then worked flawlessly.
Thanks,
Michael

So I have a similar problem except I lost me remote and only had a spare key, no spare remote. Ordered a new remote from Sunset and now having probelms starting the programing process. I can open the door with the key but the alarm emidiatly starts to go off. I have tried the programing instructions above but can not get to the point were the "warning light" goes off after 15 sec because the alarm is sounding. With out this I can start entering my code. I am sure I am not the only person to ever have this problem. Any help or ideas would be great!

Thanks
Christian
