Now that is a Porsche. I can't wait to see those at the club races next year. Thanx for sharing Kary. I imagine you could pick one up for around $110-120k.

A little OT, but what causes the fire on cars out of the exhaust in races? I assume it is backfire.

If I can get a quote for one at $110 - 120 I would take out another mortgage today. I think they will be closer to $200k if I'm not mistaken.

I think it would be less than the Retail prices from Porsche which is around $170K, I don't know if $110-120K is the range, but I would think it would quite a bit less than $200K. My guess is the $125-130 range with FOB. We will know soon.

I am no mechanic, I think it is unburned fuel that is depoisted in the exhaust after the value closes.

If that's the starting price, I will be in the market for one in two to three years. That's alot of car for the $. As you know, '03 - '05 996 Cups (for many reasons) are asking for greater than this right now.

They look great! I wish they'd use that wing on street 997 GT3s instead of that taco wing. Oh well, if I get one (997 GT3), that will be the first mod along with dumping weight.

Thanks for the pics!

That was Richard Westbrook in the winning number 66 car. He was the British Porsche Carrera Cup Champion last year and will be defending his title this year.

Graham, you are very well informed. He is residing in Bahrain temporarily and is an instructor on 360s and GT3 Cup cars that can be rented on the track. I thought he would not participate in this year's Cup championship. Great driver.
