Ok, if it's any consolation, you got first dibs on this stuff whenever I sell it.

Ben,

Why did you sell that beautiful car? I hope you are getting a better one!

Rich,

Only sold the track stuff - I'm converting it back to a street ride. It will soon be in better shape cosmetically than ever. As you know (judging by you sig) every thing you do to these cars to make them better for the track makes them worse for the street. So I'm going back to comfy seats, getting the bumper cover resprayed, putting on HD's w/ROW M030, and will probably replace the carpet and headliner shortly.

I'm also building a house (this is a dream home) so I need to reclaim some weekend time and some track $$$ for the time being. And I've really come to the point with the track stuff that I need to assess if I want to keep moving up. I suspect in a year or 2 I'll be back into the track but with a proper race car this time.

Thanks for asking!

Ben

Ben,

Whew. I'm glad you are keeping and restoring it back to the street status. I can relate to this, too, as I will be converting my 993 back to a street car once I can get a dedicated track car. Good luck on your home!

Ben is definitely doing the right thing. His car is a beauty & I couldn't imagine him racing it. I was very close to club racing my gray widebody before the SoK motor swap & buying a dedicated race car instead was, I feel, a good move.

From the speed at which Ben's parts sold, all parties should be very pleased with the new toys they have acquired.

I expect to see him out there in a CR car in the not-so-distant future & I can't wait to see that awesome garage. Oh, and house....
