Help: What springs are these?
I'm in the process of changing over my 96 C4S Coupe from NA Std suspension to RoW M030 with Bilstein HD. When I removed the front struts, I noticed that the tabs for the brake line holders had been cut, indicating PO probably had the suspension worked on at some point. My question is regarding the springs that were on the car:
Old springs: paint markings: orange/green/green
stamped on spring: KHW 00600 965 401 BD
appearance: Black with several skinnier coils at the bottom.
New M030 : paint markings: orange/green/green
stamped on spring: KHW 0041 965 401
appearance: identical to old springs, including length.
shipped as: 965 343 531 01 504
PET says: M030 = 964 343 531 12 504 marked orange
NA std = ??
So, what are my old spings, and did I get the proper new springs for RoW M030? Do you think the PO put the RoW M030 springs on the car without changing struts or swaybars? PET doesn't list 965 343 531 01 504 for my year car. What are these new springs? When PET says "marked orange" is this orange/green/green on the spring?
scratching my head on the slope....
