Default Visit to the 'Ring in '95, 993 photos

Just found some photos I took at the Nurburgring in 1995. I worked the
Frankfurt Auto Show that year, packed up the display stand on Sunday night and finished about 2am, jumped in the car and drove to Stuttgart, got a little sleep and then made it to the factory for a 9am tour. After the tour and lunch I headed to the 'Ring. I found a great spot and waited to see what might show up. Porsche had the track and here's a couple of 993's that were being driven by somebody who knew their way around that circuit. Somewhere I have photos of the 993TT which was in testing at that point. Does anybody know anything about these 2 993's? Seems like the wheels are unusual....

Cool! Notice they are both non-sunroof cars. That is neat to see some of the experimental gear that no one really puts on 993's these days, like the front splitter and old turbo tail.

The rear wheels on the yellow look like cup wheels, but the fronts look like the old 964 wheels. Maybe they did not have the right wheels around or had a blowout and had spares, or maybe they had a different set of tires they were trying out on some alternate wheels.....who knows?!?

Also, on the SY car. Looks like 2 crests! 1 on the hood and 1 on the Bumper?

Looks like a US ride height version too..though that probably cornering "sway"....

OK, that got me looking for more photos. During the tour, I spotted a wide body
993 and snuck out of the group, crawled under the car and found turbos. Must be the new 993TT, I'm thinking. When I got back to the group and pointed to the car and asked what it was, I got a polite stare and "let's keep moving".
The next day at the 'Ring, guess what I saw, yep, same car. Also this plain white coupe turning some pretty quick laps as well.
