Brand new RA-1 tires, you interested?
I am going from 17" to 18" RA-1s. I have a brand new set of Toyo RA-1 tires, 235/40/17 fronts and 255/40/17 rears. This is my second set....they work in this size combo, plus the rolling radius is such that the delta front to rear is about 2%; your ABS will work.
Here is an excerpt from http://www.evolutionm.net on the tires in their Latest Articles section: "The RA1 comes molded at 8/32 of rubber, which is quite a bit of rubber for a race tire. The Toyo RA1 unlike most “R” compound tires doesn’t require the tire to be heat cycled. You can mount them up and just run on them. The RA1 remains consistent during the life span of the tire and in most cases becomes even faster as they wear. One more thing, the RA1 wears like no other tire on the market. Compared to other “R” compound tires, the RA1 should give you a minimum of 2-3 times the wear compared to other “R” compound tires and even UHP Street tires."
Retail, the tires are ???????? you shoppers will know this. I want $550 for the tires, any takers?
