My most-trusted mechanic told me that the only real "fix" is to reprogram the DME -- along with the extra benefits of more power, etc. But I'm not sure it's worth the $1400 or whatever.
Mine is exactly like yours +/- 700RPM. Perfect idle with AC on, shaky without. I keep the AC on all the time now and forgot about it.

Does anyone that is having this problem (low and/or lumpy idle) have access to an oscilloscope?

I had a bit of rough idle and stickiness at about 2,000 rpm. However, I cleaned my ISV last night and now everything is working perfectly with rock stable idle at 800 rpm and smooth decel without any stickiness

+1. I've recently done a major service, including cleaning out the ISV, and no change. My next move is to atempt to adjust the idle on the ISV. There's a DIY for this on Robin's site for anyone wanting to attempt this.

I don't know if this is part of the cause but I too have RS clutch, LWF and Steve's chip.

I don't, Jason, but I'd be happy to drive my car west on the Pike for you to check out :-)

LOL ... that's a stethoscope. An oscilloscope measures voltage.

HAS this question been answered anywhere?

Was wondering if anybody has a reliable way to test the coils. done some searches and there does not seem to be a write up on this.
also need to know what resistance should be on plug wires and plug caps.
thanks..

I have followed your posts. I have the same problem with AC off. Does anyone have new news?
