Default Will it Work or not? Selling Euro Rear Bumper for Turbo rear...

I'm thinking of selling my Euro 993 rear bumper and getting a 993 Turbo bumper.

Will a 993 Turbo bumper fit my narrow boddied car? Will the exhausts line up (supercups)?

How much do you guys think I can get for my Euro rear bumper?

Thanks!

Steve,

The rear bumper covers for the NB and WB are different part numbers:

993-505-411-00 Euro NB Bumper Cover (no bumperette cut-outs)

993-505-411-01 USA NB Bumper Cover (with bumperette cut-outs)

993-505-411-02 Euro WB (Turbo) Bumper Cover (no bumperette cut-outs)

993-505-411-03 USA WB (Turbo) Bumper Cover (with bumperette cut-outs)

There is no cosmetic difference between a NB and WB rear bumper cover. They look the same, but will not interchange NB to WB or visa-versa.

Not sure what you're trying to do here exactly. As far as a rear bumper cover is concerned, you should be able to get 50% of the cost of new for one in good shape.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the info =O)

Actually there are very obvious cosmetic differences between the WB and the NB. It has a much more curvy apron.

I know that the WB rear bumper won't fit becasue it's 2" too wide for the narrow body. But I'm having wide body GT2 fender flares put on.

thanks again

Steve,

You're welcome. Your NB rear bumper cover should be easy to sell, especially w/o the bumperette cut-outs. Sounds like a great project. Have fun.

Depending on where you are in Canada Steve, I'm interested in the Euro bumper.

Your narrowbody Supercups might be able to fit as they do have some horizontal play in them...let us know what you find out.

Value for a used Euro bumper in good condition is probably about $400-500.

(I thought you sold the narrow body and got a turbo?)

Steve, what brand of GT2 flares are you going with? Take lots of pics when you mount them up. I am really curious about the process. Especially the part where you cut the fenders. Sounds like a really fun project.

Hi David,

I ended up getting a Polar Silver C4S that had a turbo motor put in it by the previous owner.

Kept the Narrow body and now I've decided to make it a project car =)

500US? Man I paid 1450 for the bumper =( and I've only had it for a season.

When I replaced my US rear bumper for a Euro bumper w/o the bumperettes I was able to get a brand new one for about US$780 w/o painting and prep.
