Default Muffler Bypasses in Europe

For those of you that are interested in Muffler Bypasses for the 993 and the 993TT and live in Europe, you can order a set with tips from Gert Carnewal at http://www.carnewal.com/
They cost €450 and includes an oval tip.

As usual, I have no affiliation with Gert, but most of us knows that he's a fellow that is very helpful and nice to doing business with.

Cheers

Humm...

Not too sure this is a good idea. Euro police are too cowardly to chase real criminals so they dedicate their efforts on persecuting the local gentry.

Too much noise is a red flag for them!

BTW, I too use Gert for lots of things. He does good work.

Dumb question here, but how does a muffler bypass differ from fabspeed's supercup exhaust??? Are they the same thing? Bypasses seem to run around $4-500 while the cups run 900.

MR,

Muffler bypasses are a straight-thru pipe without any baffling to muffle sound. The supercups do have some baffling so aren't quite as loud. GHL and B&B make muffler by passes and they are relatively inexpensive ($425 without tips or $540 with tips) I talked to one of the owners of GHL and he admitted that they are extremely loud!

SCHWEEET! Thanks for the info jdoc. My first generation cups had no baffles so I am used to the noise. Muffler bypasses seem the way to go for half the price!! Anyone got any???

Duno why he didn't listed them on the website, but I simply mailed and asked him.

Gabi, that is a nice avatar you got there. Do you have it as a large picture also?

I like the idea of a muffler by-pass, I don't find in on Gert's website. Anybody got a link?
