yeah Cooter,
I have been trying to avoid the 225/285 understeer issues I have had in the past. Even though I have adjustable sways (TRG), I want to use them as a secondary source of adjustment after tire width. My logic on the tire choices was that I was tryng to get more rubber on the road in the same ratio as the RS (225/265) - around 15% difference between front and back. With the 225/285 combo you get a 21% differential. With 245/285 you get a 14% differetial but with more rubber at both ends for grip.
BTW,
My alignment shop seems to know think they have the problem cleared up and won't need to roll the front fenders. I hope to get the car back today and take it for a test drive. If everything works out ok, I will post all stats (tire, wheel, alignment values, etc..) for others to be able to use.

The Michellin Engineer who was at Sebring said to me that I should move to a 235 front and I would see improvement. Simply the 225 in the front can do so much he said....

When I got my car it had S-02's on it; 225's up front. The thing pushed like a pig from turn in all the way tracking out to the apex. If I did not have the car set up perfectly upon turn in, it got pretty ugly. Granted this was with the worn out POS Monroes and the stock US ride height.
This happened the first week I bought the car.
Week 2 Gert delivered the RoW M030 Bilstein/HD setup and new sways and I replaced the front 225's with 235's. The car now handles and rides as I thought it should and the 235's really work well and provide plenty of bite allowing me to steer/balance the car with my right foot. Now all I need is a Guards LSD to help out trail braking and I’ll be all set
