How do you see the red needle against a red face? I'm thinking about doing a yellow tach face and leaving the rest black, but I don't know how it woould look. I guess I'll take a pic and photoshop it!

There was a very nice low mileage red car with red guage faces on e-bay ~month ago. I'll post a link when I get home from the office (e-bay in the office = bad!)

EDIT: Sorry, I couldn't find it. E-bay must dump the page after a month.

Here's a pic of a red GT3 996 cluster at LA Dismantler

I got my yellow gauge faces from FVD. High quality OEM product but a *royal* PITA to actually get them. Took nearly 3 months of weekly phone calls, including a personal visit to their shop near Miami, with a litany of excuses on a weekly basis. I initially got a set quickly from them but it was in KM/H. After that, it was all downhill. Not cheap; about $395, IIRC.

The set comes with more faces than needed for a single car as its made for all versions 993/964 so I have an extra OBC tacho face, oil press/level gauge face with 964-style warning lights and a speedo face in Km/h, if anyone is interested.

This guy makes custom gauge faces in about any color or font. I met him at the New Dimensions show last year and saw some he made for vws, nice stuff. There are some water cooled porsche gauge faces on his site.

Here's a red 944 cluster he made.
