may be hard to tell from the pics, but it is lower. subjectively, i can tell when i look at it, and measurements are 1/4 inch lower in the front than without the lowering collars...will try to take another set of pics soon...!

Jonathan, Looks great - you are tenacious - if nothing else. Well done. Question is, has the handling improved?

just measured using the fender method... 25 3/4 front, 25 1/2 rear...

here are a couple more for comparison... it certainly COULD be lowered a bit more in front, but i find this to be a good compromise height for street driving... since i measured before/after, i know that it is about 1/4 lower in front now than with US Bilstein HDs without lowering collars...

Richard, yes still clean underneath...the weather has been very kind in TX this weekend

Tony, i absolutely want big ovals...just dont want to spend $700 for them. First set of reasonably priced used ones i find in good condition are going on my car!

Jonathan knows what lower looks like since my car is almost identical (but not as clean) and you can hardly slip a credit card between the fender and the tire...

Jonathan....the RH looks terrific. As does the car. Iffin you run across two or more offers to sell OEM wide ovals let me know, I, too. am looking for same. Spent some time under the front and rear wheel wells today.........with some success in degrunging the apparatus. Had to wait for the wife to depart for the horses so as not to be scorned for wasting time unneccesarily. Enjoyed seeing your garage with similar craftsman lighting and usual pictures on the wall, etc.

Will post the undercarriange cleansing success once I get to that point where enough is enough.!! Finally figured out how to post photos.....don't take them in so large a pixel format so they don't have to be seriously resized. Thanks for the inspiration and photos.

Gary you're comments about spousal scorn ring loud and true here. I've got the equine program, trucks and trailers going here as well. I have to wait for them to leave before I start working on my car as such efforts are not deemed to have much value when there's other work to do. Fortunately the eventing season starts soon and I'll have the flexibilty to work on the car.

Sulley,

The ride height in the photos looks perfect and the measurements are within 1/8" FR and RR of mine, using the M030 springs and (Gert's) Bilstein HD's. Nice job.

I still am confused by the problem with the ride height you had and the extra work it caused. I feel like I had given you bad advice that the Bilsteins from Gert w/o the extra threading and the Euro M030 (lowering) springs would get you to your current ride height. From everything I had read and from talking to Gert and Viken when I did my suspension, I was certain that the M030 springs ALONE would lower the car 25 mm at all four corners and the extra threading on the Bilsteins wasn't necessary UNLESS you wanted to go lower than the 25 mm. I thought that the springs provide the ride height change, not the dampers.

I wanted to apoligize for sending you in the wrong direction on this - I had been watching the Forum for your final results and half thought that you would find out that your supplier had provided springs that were miss-labeled, hence the 'too high' ride height.

Your car looks great, on the outside and underneath.
