Just wanted to send a 'thank-you' for setting up this group buy. I received my driver's seat this week (unfortunately, UPS damaged the passenger's seat and had to send it back to Recaro for a minor repair, but I should have it by this Wed.). The price you got from FVD was very good and hopefully I'll have the seats installed this week and maybe post a pic. Thanks again.

Hey Rob,
Wow!! How long ago was this GB? I know it's been a few months.....
I'd even step out on a limb and say that I'm probably the only one from the GB who still hasn't gotten their set yet
I guess that's what I get for custom ordering....
No worries though....Patience is a virtue
I know when they do come, I'll enjoy then thoroughly... and I'll definitely post pics...
Thanks again for arranging the GB!

Despite some issues with Recaro and UPS, I really like these seats. They are wider than the standard seats in my 996 so they rub the center console, but they are more comfortable and do a better job keeping you from sliding around than the factory seats. I had a shop install them and according to the shop they were a real PIA to install. Apparently the brackets weren't exactly "plug and play".
I almost wish I had not gone with all of the power options. I dislike the button set-up because I can never remember which button is for heating and which is for the fan and then you have to open the door to look at the buttons. Also, the electric connection is alway on so if someone happens to move one of those buttons accidentally or forgets they activated the fan or heat, then it stays on (not great for the battery). Otherwise, I think they are excellent seats for daily driving and would recommend them.

walks - thanks for the seat pics. There is a way to connect the seats so that they only get power when the car is turned on. This way you can just leave the buttons as you like (i leave the 'fan'=on and 'heat'=off) and you will not drain the battery.

Guys here is my cost for the Recaro seats, brackets are not included so I guess it is a toss up with FVD.
