I called Recaro and unfortunately there are no dealers here in Texas where I can try the seats out. I'll be returning to California tommorrow evening upon which time I'll catch up with Scott to sit in his seats. I'm hopeful that I'll still be able to get in the group buy by Wed or Thurs. Let me know and I'll PM you my info.

GeezC4S -- where in TX are you. I know 911 Enterprises in Dallas has the Sport on display -- in cloth but at least you can sit in it.

Thanks for the info. I was as in Dallas for a couple of days, now I'm in Austin, but will be returning to the Bay Area tommorrow eve. When I spoke with Recaro they told me 911 Enterprises did not have any in stock. Go figure.

I'll catch up with Scott (CAHRERA) once I get back. Thanks again

Maybe none in stock but they had these demo seats, like chairs, in their waiting area...several of the models. Since they were more like chair height rather than on the floor, it didn't feel exactly right to sit in them but you could still get an idea of the seat cushion firmness and feel. I thought the Sport was the best choice for a street driven 993 -- good support but still reasonable to get in and out. They look about as close as you could get to the factory sport seats too.

for Keith- the seats are avail in tan or cashmere.

Rob - I'm just getting back to the Bay Area and will try to catch up with Scott (CAHRERA) today. I'll also check out one of the local stores who, according to Recaro, should have some in stock to sit in. I got your PM and will get back to you before the days end.

BTW - I too am interested in the cashmere beige full leather with the heat and ventilation options. Do ya happen to know what the turnaround is for these? I'm just curious, either way you'll hear from me by the end of the day.

Checkout Griffin motor Werks on San Pablo in Berkeley. Terry has the seats there I saw his display at the SF International Auto Show in Nov.

I just left Griffin, sat in the seats and they fit like a glove. So, I'm in. Whooohooo.

Has anyone seen the Recaro office chair? I want to convert one my "old" seat into an office chair. Does anyone know if they sell just office chair base with wheels?

With all of you buying Recaro seats, I'd like to point out I'm selling some brackets for Recaro seats and I also have one set of sliders, too. PM me if interested.

kelly - thanks for the offer, but i worked the brackets into the group purchase price ... Lucky for us, that I know so much !!

Any other feedback from the remaining gang? We have 5 firm, but perhaps we can get 8-10.
