I'm in the process of hard wiring my Passport 8500. I've got the wire routed behind the dash, under the defroster grill.
Now is the tough part. I'm trying to get the cord under the knee pad. I think I can make it work, and keep the wire well concealed, if I can remove the $*^%^$@ A/C vent by the door. I've removed the small trim piece that faces the door panel. There is only one obvious (very small) screw that holds the plastic vent to the dash. I've removed it but still no joy.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
